Jewell Delighted to Secure Dyer Signing Fri 11th Mar 2011 12:58
Town boss Paul Jewell says he’s delighted to have secured the signing of former Blue Kieron Dyer on loan from West Ham, as first revealed by TWTD this morning. The 32-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer, is at Portman Road until April 9th but Jewell says that the former England man could stay for longer if all goes well.

Goals from Irish trio Shane Long, Ian Harte and Noel Hunt consigned the Blues to a deserved 3-1 home defeat to Reading. Town striker Connor Wickham netted a consolation in the final moments, Long having put the Royals in front in the first half and Harte and Hunt adding the second and third late on.

Jack Ainsley scored twice and Ronan Murray and Reggie Lambe once each as Town’s reserves comfortably beat Southend 4-0 and at a wet and windy Playford Road. The young Blues side should have been more than a goal up at the break but made their domination tell in the second half.
